Zaisu

Zaisu is a western interpretation of a traditional Japanese ground chair, a form I encountered while travelling through Asia. Introducing their mindful way of living through furniture. Sitting closer to the floor slows you down, it makes you more present and grounded. The Zaisu can be used as a meditation chair, a lounge chair, or simply a place to pause and read. The Zaisu rests directly on the floor. A subtle angle supports the spine, the solid walnut core carries the structure, and the leather upholstery adds comfort.

Handcrafted in Amsterdam by furniture makers and leather upholsterers in solid walnut with the finest premium leather upholstery.

The Zaisu can be ordered as a traditional small Zaisu or a lounge variant. Both are also possible to order with or without the ottoman footrest.

Price upon request. Made to order, 6–8 weeks.
